Day 2 – Paragliding
A highlight is already waiting for your on the first active day of your Eiger Active Week.
At the valley station of the Firstbahn you will be welcomed by our experienced paragliding tandem pilot licensed by the Swiss Federal Office of Civil Aviation. With him the gondola brings you to the starting point at 2.150m. After a short briefing you have to run, fly and enjoy. With the “First Panoramic Flight” you have an incomparable view of the snow-covered mountain giants and green valleys around Grindelwald. After approx. 20 minutes, you gently land just under 1.200 meters below in Grindelwald Grund.
Day 3 – Glecksteinhütte
Today you should have a good breakfast. Because the hike to the Glecksteinhütte requires physical fitness, sure-footedness and a head for heights.
The Postbus will take you to your start, the Gleckstein junction. Here the path to the Gleckstein hut begins. The path is certainly one of the most impressive mountain trails in the Alps. Not only at the destination, you will be rewarded with an overwhelming panoramic view to the Wetterhorn, the Grindelwald glacier, to Lauteraarhorn and Schreckhorn and down to the Grindelwald.
After approx. 5.5 hours of hiking, the post bus will take you back to your hotel.
Day 5 – Blackhorn summit
Today, with the 2.928m high Schwarzhorn one of the most beautiful view summits of the Bernese Oberland is waiting for you.
The Firstbahn takes you from Grindelwald to the start of your hike to the First mountain station at 2.168m. The path first leads through meadows and along a stream, and then rises steeply over scree fields. The last few meters lead over a partly narrow ridge, which requires sure-footedness and a head for heights.
Once you reach the summit, you will be rewarded with an overwhelming 360-degree panorama of the Bernese Alps, central Switzerland and the Bernese Oberland East.
After your descent on the same path, you have more than earned a break in the hotel’s spa.!
